CJHengineering History

I've been building & designing Home Theaters since I was about 12 yrs old. Well not really, This was about the time I heard the difference between cassette tapes & CDs. My Parents had just purchased our first CD Player...If I remember correctly it was a Manufactured by Sharp. At this time, I knew Digital was the way to go.....

....Then I got into cars at about 15-16 years old.....My passion for Audio continued to Car Stereo. Big Subwoofers, Amps all piled into every POS car I owned. Everything from mid 80's Ford Escorts....to my next passion.....Mini-trucks.....in most cases equipment was nicer & cost more than the vehicle....

During these, I developed skills with audio performance as well as automotive performance & I also refined my likes and dislikes for the looks, design & engineering of each aspect of these hobbies.

For automotive performance, it was quick, sleek, subtle yet unique....trying to stay away from big slow, & gaudy, basically I like it quick, not necessarily the fastest car but a vehicle utilizes its speed efficiently, by being light & handling well, but it also has to look good & be functional. This is my general rule about cars I like, but not necessarily the law. As you can see from my previous cars I've owned and friends cars I like, it is a wide variety.

For Audio performance, I moved on from the big Subwoofers, while I liked it Loud, I wanted to hear the rest the music also, so Sound Quality was my thing, also add to that I wanted all of this while running as little amount of power as possible. I did this so I could compete in the loneliest class of IASCA (International Sound Challenge Association)....100 watts & under.

I competed for about 2 years before the competition just started getting way out of hand, with people dropping 10's of thousands of dollars to have someone build their system for them, and then they would compete in my class. It wasn't that I couldn't compete it just wasn't something that I was completely 100% serious about, it was all just a hobby for me.

I also wanted to & did all of my own installation, fabrication & testing of everything on my vehicles.

I enjoyed the show portion of the competition so I continue to show my vehicles at local events, just having fun.

Now, I enjoy both Home Theaters & Cars, its mostly a seasonal thing. Home Theaters in the Winter & Cars in the Summer. Please check back often.....
